Forms, figures and stories arrive unevenly, some inherited, others absorbed or imposed, shaping what we perceive and imagine. In one of his short tales, Jorge Luis Borges describes his fixation on the Zahir, a simple coin that slowly takes over his thoughts. For others, he writes, the Zahir has appeared as a tiger, a vein in marble, or even the bottom of a well, an object without a stable definition that captures the mind completely. A feeling that we recognize in more abstract form when viewing images that loop, become distorted and as we are stuck in them they pull us back again and again, even after their original meaning has slipped away. Another figure of persistence without a clear origin appears in Franz Kafka’s Odradek, an unsettling object-like creature that returns unexpectedly and refuses to disappear, resistant to interpretation or resolution.

Building on the idea of objects that exist outside linear time, the exhibition explores how a recurring personal memory, motif, or oblique narrative might settle and crystallize into a single form, held in a state of capture. What shape might it take? How does it enter a shared field of perception?

The space brings together a series of jewels and small sculptures. Together, they form a constellation of elements with luminous tactility and imagined charge, navigating the tension between indecipherability and familiarity, and opening onto multiple points of resonance.
