Jason Dodge

“Handmade books and not, editions.” is an exhibition dedicated to the publications of American artist Jason Dodge. Moreover, a selection of titles curated by the artist will be displayed in the bookstore.

“White covers, with lots of space around mostly outlined images. Over time becoming increasingly lonely. Mostly bound in paperback, but sometimes as box-binders. Other times quasi-origami: dustcovers, pages folded inside other pages, pages stapled inside a pocket. One cover that opens, another that hides a picture. Light bodies: books that are not volumes. Mostly lightweight paper, unafraid of transparency. Often made by hand, in just a few copies.
Over time, less and less information. Inhabited, mostly, by narrative, poetic, personal texts. Descriptions, indexes, lists.” Luca Cerizza
