LAUNCH Minibar Series & Raimundas Malašauskas’s new book
MINIBAR, a new series of night cocktail & variety shows,
conceived and curated collectively among friends of Paint it Black.
The evening featured the launch of Raimundas Malašauskas’s new book of collected writings, ‘Suzon’, and the performance ‘Dance for Nothing (revisited)’ by Eszter Salamon.
‘Suzon’ combines Raimundas Malašauskas’s 2012 book ‘Paper Exhibition’ with new writings from 2002–2024. Edited by Tom Engels, this collection spans essays, exhibition guides, personal letters, song lyrics, and even a cocktail recipe.
‘Dance for Nothing (revisited)’ is a performance by choreographer and artist Eszter Salamon, reactivating John Cage’s iconic ‘Lecture on Nothing’ (1949). In this hypnotic piece for voice, body and chair Salamon interplays composition, interpretation, and transmission creating an immersive meditation on nothingness itself.
A very special cocktail made of words and vodka was created exclusively for the event by Alix Eynaudi and Raimundas Malašauskas.
